Hybrid tea roses are the traditional classic roses; buds are used for boutonnieres. These roses have long stems with a single rose at the end, which may or may not be fragrant. Blooms typically start in spring until fall. Many colors now available. Roses prefer full to part sun with well draining, rich soil. It needs fertilizer after each bloom period. It prefers medium watering and more in hot summer areas. Mulch well. Prune in winter. It usually grows 2'-6' tall.

Floribunda roses prefer full sun and produce many clusters of flowers, instead of a single flower at the end of the stem. Pink Florinbunda Rose blooms pale pink flowers in summer. These shrubs are 3'-5' tall and 3'-4' wide. Floribunda flowers are smaller than hybrid tea flowers. These shrubs are great for borders, hedges or containers. It needs medium watering and more in hot summer areas.

The Striped Society Garlic is a garlic-scented perennial, reaching 1'-2' tall, with green narrow leaves that have white margins. Small, fragrant, white flowers cover this shrub in spring. It prefers full to part sun and has moderate watering needs. Wheeler's Dwarf is dependable and easy to grow. Prune in winter to keep shape.

These summer-blooming perennials form clumps with large, grass-like leaves. Its showy flowers, resembling lilies, are borne in clusters on stems held well above the foliage. Hemerocallis are very hardy,with few or none pests/problems.
